F&B Purchasing Agent โ€“ Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfrontย 

Position Overview

  • Job Title: F&B Purchasing Agent
  • Location: Food and Beverage Department Hiltonย 
  • Schedule: Seasonal (must include weekends and holidays)
    • Variable scheduleย 
  • Work Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalk

Summary:
The Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront is looking for a detail-oriented Food & Beverage Purchasing Agent to support our restaurant, rooftop bar, and banquet operations. This key role ensures the timely procurement of quality food, beverage, and supply items while controlling costs and maintaining inventory accuracy.ย 

Job Functions:

  • Assist Purchasing Manager to Order, receive, and track all F&B products for outlets and banquets, following hotel procurement procedures
  • Maintain par levels for all food, alcohol, and non-food items (to-go containers, napkins, chemicals, etc.)
  • Conduct routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with Accounting and F&B leadership
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Managers to forecast needs and adjust orders based on business levels
  • Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy, quality, and freshness; report any issues to vendors or department heads
  • Maintain clean, organized, and labeled storage areas using FIFO and food safety standards
  • Coordinate keg and bottle returns, recycling pickups, and vendor credits
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton and Shamin Hotels standards and health code requirements

Qualifications

  • 1โ€“2 years of experience in purchasing, receiving, or inventory control in a foodservice or hospitality setting
  • Familiarity with ordering platforms such as Adecco, Sysco, US Foods, or similar
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in walk-ins or storage areas as needed
  • Attention to detail, strong math skills, and basic Excel or inventory software knowledge required
  • Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings for delivery intake
  • Valid US Driverโ€™s license with clean record
  • Computer Skill โ€“ Multiple platform usage
