Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of food and beverage management experience in a hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Experience managing labor, food cost, beverage cost, and department profitability.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and restaurant operations.
  • Experience with OpenTable, social media marketing, and restaurant promotions preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Marriott experience preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 annually, based on experience

About the Position
The Leo Kent Hotel is seeking an energetic and results-driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead operations at St. Cruz Restaurant & Bar while supporting banquet and in-room dining operations throughout the hotel. This leader will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving restaurant and bar revenue, controlling costs, developing associates, and expanding awareness of St. Cruz through social media, OpenTable, and local marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support the needs of a dynamic hotel food and beverage operation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of St. Cruz Restaurant & Bar, banquet events, and room service operations.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop the food and beverage team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and effectively resolve guest concerns.
  • Manage scheduling, labor controls, payroll, and productivity standards.
  • Monitor food and beverage costs, inventory levels, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
  • Partner with hotel leadership and culinary teams to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability.
  • Support banquet and catering events from planning through execution.
  • Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve revenue and flow-through.
  • Manage and optimize the restaurant's OpenTable presence, including reservations, guest engagement, reviews, promotions, and restaurant visibility.
  • Lead social media and advertising initiatives for St. Cruz Restaurant & Bar, working with internal and external partners to promote dining experiences, special events, seasonal menus, and bar activations.
