Company Overview

MML is a dynamic hospitality group known for creating bespoke, high-quality experiences. As we continue to expand our boutique hotel portfolio, we are seeking a dedicated project management professional to oversee the delivery of our most high-profile developments.


Position Summary

This role is a key position on the Development team with a focus on MML's hotel projects, including but not limited to The Aspen Chalet, The Blanco Hotel, and Dallas Proper. This role is responsible for the delivery of MML's technical and consulting services agreements (TSAs) during the development and pre-opening phases of a project.

The ideal candidate will serve as the central point of contact, coordinating cross-functional teams, third-party consultants, and vendors to ensure that projects are completed comprehensively, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Schedule Management

  • Develop and maintain detailed master schedules and critical path timelines utilizing project management software (Smartsheets).
  • Partner closely with pre-operations and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from the construction phase to a fully operational property.
  • Conduct regular site visits and coordinate with third-party vendors regarding on-site installations and deliveries.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary liaison between MML executives, home office directors, affiliate hotel entities, co-development partners, and third-party clients.
  • Collaborate closely with Design & Construction teams to ensure technical design development (food service, audio/visual, security, IT) stays aligned with the consultant construction drawing schedule.
  • Lead project status meetings to review progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Manage established development budgets and assist the VP of Project Development with budget burn-rate forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the MML Finance team to generate accurate spend reports and manage Technical Services Agreement (TSA) billing.
  • Act as the primary contact for external vendors and consultants regarding scoping, contract negotiations, scheduling, and invoice approvals.

Special Projects

  • Support the growth of MML's hotel portfolio by collaborating on the development of new offerings, including private member clubs, spa concepts, and operational IT/software systems.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience: 7+ years of proactive project management experience specifically within the hospitality sector. A proven track record of successfully managing and delivering hotel projects from inception to completion is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Smartsheets, Bluebeam, Google Workspace, and MS Office. Strong ability to read, interpret, and comment on construction drawings and contracts.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience with financial modeling, budget management, and cost control.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively build consensus with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Self-motivated and driven, with a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • This position is full-time and based out of Austin, Texas.
  • Regular travel to project sites is required.
