Job description

We are an Asian grocery and produce distributor to restaurants, corporate cafeterias, catering services, universities, hotels, museums, etc. in the New York Tri-State Area.
We are seeking an experience Logistics Manager to manage a fleet of twenty cargo vans, box trucks and up to thirty (30) team members. Team members will include drivers, dispatchers and any other logistics department personnel.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage and train a team of up to thirty(30) logistics personnel and this includes, but not limited to drivers and dispatchers.
  • Analyze routes and figure out the best and efficient way to make timely deliveries to our customers.
  • Monitor KPI’s and report on transportation effectiveness, including fleet efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Ensure invoices and shipping documents are properly filed.
  • Collaborating with purchasing team to make timely pick ups to re-stock our inventory.
  • Collaborating with sales team to make timely deliveries and all other customer service related matters.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are fully functional and safe.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are up to date with its schedule maintenance and inspections.
  • Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders.

What You’ll Need:
  • 3 years or more as a logistics manager in a same or similar industry.
  • 3 years of managing a team of twenty (20) or more.
  • Experience in designing new process and making incremental improvements.
  • Track record of an ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Solid supply chain management.
  • Bachelors of Science in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or relevant field'
