Shave Ice Attendant (with cashiering duties), Full Time
Rate of Pay: $22.15/hour
Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Shave Ice Attendant to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.
Brief Summary of Job: Responsible for efficiently and courteously assisting guests with shave ice orders. Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Courteously wait on guests, make recommendations, up sell.
Professionally serve shave ice, check-in with and monitor guests' experience throughout their visit to ensure guest satisfaction.
Accurately handle all cash and credit card transactions.
Complete all side work (filling syrup containers, stocking station).
Assist with cleaning work area and guest area to Marriott standards and all health codes at all times.
Adhere to food safety requirements.
Report any missing/found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: One (1) year experience preferred. High school or equivalent education. Micros knowledge highly preferred. Ability to operate a computerized point of sale system (Micros). TB clearance card required.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Operate cash register. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
