Job description

Hotel Maintenance Engineer (Solo Role)

Location: Greenville, SC

Pay Range: $15.00 โ€“ $18.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Status: Full-Time | On-Call as needed

The Mission

We are looking for a skilled, independent Maintenance Engineer to take full ownership of our 107-room property. At our hotel, we value the "right way" over the "easy way." We aren't looking for quick patches; we want a professional who takes pride in high-quality repairs and proactive upkeep to ensure our guests have a flawless experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solo Property Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for all physical building needs, managing a 107-room inventory independently.

  • Specialized Equipment Care: Maintain and repair PTAC units, commercial breakfast buffet equipment, and Bunn coffee machines to ensure guest services remain uninterrupted.

  • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute and document a rigorous PM program for guest rooms and public spaces to prevent equipment failure before it happens.

  • Plumbing & Electrical: Install/replace and maintain fixtures (faucets, toilets, light bulbs, etc.) with a focus on safety and local code compliance.

  • General Handyman Work: Perform high-quality drywall repair, painting, and basic carpentry.

  • Rapid Response: Address guest room work orders promptly and professionally, maintaining a friendly "service-first" attitude.

Requirements

  • Integrity: A commitment to doing the job correctly the first time.

  • Experience: 2+ years in facility maintenance (Hotel experience preferred).

  • Technical Knowledge: Proven ability to troubleshoot HVAC/PTAC units and kitchen appliances.

  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more regularly and spend the majority of the day on your feet or on ladders.

  • Reliability: Must be available for occasional on-call emergency repairs outside of standard business hours.

  • Certification: EPA/HVAC certification is a strong plus but not required.
