About Us: Aviator Suites Hotel is a newly remodeled property that opened June in Juneau, Alaska. We are building a strong, service-focused team from the ground up and are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our housekeeping operation.

Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for leading all housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas consistently meet company cleanliness and presentation standards. This role oversees staffing, training, scheduling, inventory management, quality assurance, and team development while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in operational excellence, enjoys developing team members, and is committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and laundry
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop housekeeping associates and supervisors
  • Establish and maintain cleanliness, safety, and quality standards throughout the hotel
  • Conduct room inspections and quality audits to ensure guest satisfaction and brand compliance
  • Create schedules and manage labor costs to meet operational and financial goals
  • Monitor inventory levels and order housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment as needed
  • Partner with the Maintenance and Front Desk teams to ensure efficient communication and prompt resolution of guest concerns
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations
  • Address guest concerns professionally and take corrective action when necessary
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-focused workplace culture

Qualifications:

  • Previous housekeeping management experience in a hotel environment required
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience managing labor, productivity, and departmental budgets preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and leadership
  • Proficiency with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office preferred
