Job Responsibilities
As a Bistro Cook, you will prepare and cook food to order requiring short preparation time.
Your specific duties in this role will include:
โ€ข Assist in the set-up and closing of the kitchen area using the provided checklists.
โ€ข Prepare and serve Bistro and banquet fare per menu and presentation specifications using oven, stove, grill, microwave & Turbo Chef.
โ€ข Prepare "Market" fare per menu specifications.
โ€ข Maintain food safety through adherence of all food safety policies and sanitation standards.
โ€ข Wash dishes and serving utensils as needed.
โ€ข Maintain proper supply levels of china, glass and silver.
โ€ข Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas.
โ€ข Maintain the cleanliness of work area and food preparation equipment.
โ€ข Assist with maintaining food cost controls while maintaining quality.
โ€ข Assist with ordering and maintaining proper inventory levels of food and beverage supplies.
โ€ข Assist with administrative work as needed, i.e. maintaining logs, processing invoices.
โ€ข Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, appliances, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance. Report deficiencies.
Job Requirements
We are looking for a self-motivated Bistro Cook with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
โ€ข 3 to 6 months related experience in food service preparation role
โ€ข One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
โ€ข Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
