Job description

We are seeking a friendly, dependable Front Desk Agent to join our team at Hotel Eastlund. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming guests, completing check-ins and check-outs, assisting with reservations and guest requests, processing payments, and helping ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. This position works closely with Housekeeping, Valet, Maintenance, and other hotel departments. Strong customer-service skills, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain professional in a busy environment are essential. Verify guest identification and ensure established credit and payment procedures are followed. Review arrivals, reservations, rates, packages, and special requests. Process reservation changes and cancellations accurately. Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests. Provide information about hotel amenities, transportation, dining, attractions, and local events. Answer telephone calls promptly and provide complete and accurate information. Process payments, charges, and adjustments accurately. Maintain accurate guest and reservation information in the property-management system. Coordinate with Housekeeping, Valet, Maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs. Resolve guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate. Follow established key-control, guest-privacy, data-security, safety, and emergency procedures. Communicate effectively with other hotel employees by telephone, radio, and written shift notes. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience is preferred. Experience with OPERA or another hotel property-management system is helpful. Strong customer service and guest-relations skills. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and remain professional during busy or difficult situations. Strong attention to detail and the ability to enter information accurately. Ability to communicate professionally by telephone, radio, and in person. Bilingual or multilingual skills are helpful but not required. Availability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. Reliable and punctual attendance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is an onsite position. The employee must be able to stand, walk, reach, and communicate effectively while performing the essential duties of the position.
