As a Park Ranger, you'll be a visible presence throughout the resort—patrolling the property, assisting guests, enforcing resort policies, responding to incidents, and helping ensure our resort remains a fun, family-friendly destination. This position combines outstanding guest service with safety, security, and emergency response responsibilities.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a friendly ambassador by greeting guests, answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with guest needs.
  • Promote a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment by professionally enforcing resort rules and policies.
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns, disturbances, accidents, emergencies, and medical incidents while coordinating with management and emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist guests with lockouts, locating campsites or accommodations, and resolving minor guest concerns.
  • Monitor resort amenities, pools, playgrounds, parking areas, and common spaces to ensure guest safety and security.
  • Observe surveillance systems and report suspicious activity or unusual incidents.
  • Respond to security and safety calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and document safety, security, and operational concerns.
  • Perform routine inspections of resort facilities, gates, and public areas, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Become familiar with the resort's emergency procedures, life safety systems, fire equipment, and emergency access points.
  • Assist during resort events, severe weather, emergencies, and other operational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with management, team members, and emergency responders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, campground or RV resort operations, parks and recreation, security, military, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, legible reports.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and internet.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Schedule

This is a Part-time Seasonal position with PM shifts. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other peak business periods as needed.

Why Join Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach?
  • Work outdoors in a fun, resort atmosphere.
  • Be part of a team that creates unforgettable vacation experiences.
  • Gain valuable experience in hospitality, guest services, safety, and resort operations.
