Job description

Our client is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead water and wastewater treatment projects for municipal and private-sector clients throughout North Carolina. This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer with strong technical expertise and project management experience overseeing utility infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
Responsibilities:
-Manage water and wastewater treatment plant projects from planning and design through construction while maintaining project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
-Develop project scopes, work plans, engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction administration deliverables.
-Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders while supporting business development efforts.
-Assist with proposal development, project financing coordination, and overall practice growth initiatives.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and an active North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in a consulting environment, including at least 5 years of project management experience.
-Strong knowledge of municipal water and wastewater treatment systems, engineering design, construction administration, and regulatory requirements.
-Experience managing project budgets, schedules, client relationships, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
-Experience with hydraulic modeling and AutoCAD preferred, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
