UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area's clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions.   • Well established Hospitalist program since 2006, currently includes 18 physician & 1 ARNP team
  • Care team support that includes 5 dedicated hospitalist RNs for care coordination and rounding efficiency + 1 CDE nurse
  • Shifts available: Day shift rounding and swing shift; Night admitting and swing shift
  • PRN - minimum of 3 shifts/month
  • Excellent multi-specialty support
  • Open ICU with intensivist availability to consult

Responsibilities
  • 14-17 patient census/Physician
  • Admitting/Rounding on medical/surgical patients 18-years of age and older (adult), & non-maternity
  • Shifts available: Day shift rounding and swing shift; Night admitting and swing shift
  • Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays - shared equally amongst group

Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; Must be board certified within year of employment
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
