Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director in Athens, OH
Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists
  • Oversee newborn nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists
  • Provide 24/7 on-call coverage, utilizing a round and go model with call from home
  • Perform circumcisions as part of the hospitalist duties
  • Offer expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department
  • Collaborate closely with a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists
  • Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects
  • Exchange ideas and best practices within a large network of Pediatrix providers
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Ohio medical license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active)
  • Experience in leadership roles preferred
  • DEA certification required prior to start
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics [REQUIRED]
  • Ohio Medical License [REQUIRED]
