Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity in Springfield, OH
Join a leading healthcare facility in Springfield, Ohio, recognized for its full-service acute care capabilities. This hospital provides comprehensive medical services in a supportive environment, prioritizing patient care. We are looking for a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide call coverage, assisting in the office/clinic setting, and delivering high-quality surgical care.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide call coverage for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.
- Conduct general CV/thoracic/vascular surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacements, and aneurysm repairs.
- Evaluate and manage cases related to acute volume and blood pressure issues.
- Perform bronchoscopy and oversee ventilation management.
- Collaborate with support staff, including advanced practice providers (APPs).
- Document all patient interactions and procedures using the EPIC system.
- Participate in inpatient care with a focus on adult patient caseloads.
- Be available for both weekday and weekend coverage as necessary.
- Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery (required).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- Current Ohio state license or IMLC (expected at time of submission) (required).
- Experience in vascular surgery is preferred but not mandatory.
- Clean malpractice and background, with low payouts and dismissed findings (highly preferred).
- Availability for specified call coverage dates (required).
- Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Ohio state medical license or IMLC eligibility.
