Job description

Overview

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Unit Secretary encompasses the coordination of secretarial needs for the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   High school diploma or GED preferred. 

Experience: Minimum of one year experience as Unit Secretary, or, in lieu of experience, completion of Unit Secretary course, or enrolled in nursing program. In lieu of one year unit secretary experience we will accept 6 months experience if it occurred at SARH.

Knowledge and Skills:   Basic knowledge of medical terminology, computer and order entry skills. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.  Able to work in a fast paced environment and manage/prioritize/ complete work assignments and other duties, as assigned. 

License/Certifications:   Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required. 

Equipment:   None

Physical Requirements:   Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.

PAY RANGE

$21.00 - $29.12
