Safety Manager

Location: Port Washington, WI

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Manager to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs within a construction-focused data center environment. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical standards while promoting a proactive safety culture across project sites.

The Safety Manager will conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, perform site inspections, and deliver safety training. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the rapidly growing data center industry.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety programs in compliance with OSHA, FDA, and industry standards
  • Create and update safety plans aligned with project phases and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments related to chemical handling, cleanroom construction, and specialized equipment
  • Ensure contractors and subcontractors follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
  • Perform routine site inspections and audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices
  • Lead investigations for incidents, near-misses, and violations; implement corrective actions
  • Track and verify corrective actions for continuous safety improvement
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training (hazardous materials, confined spaces, emergency response, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate records of audits, permits, incident reports, and training documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and QA teams to integrate safety into all project phases
  • Support safety planning for cleanroom construction and equipment installation
  • Promote a strong safety culture through communication and engagement
  • Identify and recommend improvements to safety processes and procedures

Required Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of safety experience in construction or a related environment
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and site inspections
  • Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in documentation and recordkeeping

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field
  • Experience in complex environments (data centers, cleanrooms, or specialized facilities)
  • Familiarity with chemical handling and cleanroom safety protocols
  • Additional certifications (OSHA 10, OSHA 510)
  • Experience delivering safety training programs
  • Knowledge of data center construction and operations

  • On-site role at a data center construction project in Port Washington, WI
