Get to Know Your Team:
  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.

Responsibilities
  • The Facility Risk Manager is responsible for the execution of the Ardent Risk Management Program across their facility/facilities.
  • This position develops and supports facility-level risk management activities and programs.
  • This position will manage the Risk Management needs across the facility, including risk management policy and procedure implementation, risk identification and mitigation, provide risk management-related education, support, and event investigations.
  • This position will also support patient safety and quality activities as needed.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare risk management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/Windows applications and other systems.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and present programmatic materials in front of an audience of more than 20 people, including senior leadership at the facility and corporate levels.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, along with the ability to quickly prioritize workstreams and projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with customers and all members of the healthcare & Risk Management teams.
  • Excellent customer-focused interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, utilizing excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, along with excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • BS/BA in a related field or relevant experience. BSN.
