Job Description: We’re seeking a pharmacy technician to join our team at Mountain Lakes Medical Center on an as needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration. 


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel
  • Receives and stores incoming deliveries of medication and supplies
  • Demonstrates an ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations
  • Maintains inventory of supplies in pharmacy and other departments and reorders them accordingly
  • Answers the phone and communicates effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist
  • Performs tasks related to sterile compounding, including but not limited to clean room training, cleaning, and maintaining the space
  • Prepares and delivers medications to designated locations based on end-user need
  • Maintains stock in the automated dispensing cabinet


Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s)
  • Previous hospital experience preferred
