Job description

The pharmacy technical analyst utilizes information technology applications, spreadsheets, and reports to ensure compliance as well as assist with appropriate billing. Specific duties include maintenance of price files, expense explanations, as well as variance identification. This position will assist with prioritization and completion of departmental information technology requests; provide assistance with wholesale purchasing accounts, and will cross-train and serve as back up to the pharmacy buyer, billing analyst, and pharmacy budget coordinator, and regulatory coordinator as needed for vacation/illness. There will be duties as otherwise assigned.
Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Junior College/Technical School is preferred
  • West Virginia Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration is required
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification is required

Experience:
  • No Previous Experience is Required
  • 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience is preferred

The kind of position-related experience includes:
  • Experience with computers and word processing required
  • Proficiency demonstrated in the operations of Windows based computer programs
  • Must successfully complete a department orientation and must meet all requirements/responsibilities of the criteria based evaluation of pharmacy technical analyst
