To thrive as a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you need a solid understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, basic math skills, and typically a pharmacy technician certification or completion of a pharmacy assistant program. Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, inventory software, and prescription processing tools is essential. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team are important soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure accuracy in medication dispensing, efficient workflow, and excellent support for both pharmacists and patients.
