The Opportunity:
As a Hospital Manager, you will be an essential part of the hospital management team, collaborating closely with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the hospital. Your role will drive revenue, manage costs, and cultivate a hospital culture focused on top-notch patient care and exceptional customer service. You will oversee the planning and coordination of hospital operations while creating a supportive and cohesive team environment. Given the managerial responsibilities and the need for in-person interaction with clients and employees, regular on-site attendance is a fundamental requirement for this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete ownership of P&L, accountable for the hospital's performance
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast the hospital's needs
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs
  • Manage payroll for hospital staff
  • Develop the hospital schedule and manage labor costs
  • Champion change and identify, document, share, and promote best practices
  • Lead the hospital team to enhance processes and workflows, covering client service, operations, and administrative tasks
  • Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Establish and drive the culture of the hospital
  • Track and maintain current licensures for all DVMs
  • Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations
  • Demonstrate and reinforce the highest level of client service

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience
  • Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based industry setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus
