Sentara is hiring a Pharmacist Informaticist to support the Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy team.
Location: Remote

The Pharmacist Informaticist - Ambulatory Pharmacy will serve as a critical member of the Ambulatory Clinical Support Team for Pharmacy, providing technical expertise and operational support for Epic-based applications. This role ensures seamless integration of clinical workflows with technology solutions, driving efficiency, compliance, and measurable outcomes across ambulatory care settings.
Education
  • Bachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
  • Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure
  • Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)
  • Epic Willow Inventory, Epic Willow Inpatient, Epic Willow Ambulatory certification (preferred)

Experience
  • 2 Years of Pharmacist experience in a Hospital or Clinical Setting (required)
  • Experience in one of the following areas is required: Technical Expertise in Epic, Developing projects with IT teams, Hospital Protocol Development, Clinical Informatics.
  • Proficiency in using SQL for reporting and data analysis; experience with HL7 standards and system integration required.
  • Hands-on experience in Epic Willow Build, including configuration and maintenance of Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, and/or Willow Inventory modules.
  • Proven ability to analyze and optimize pharmacy workflows using Epic tools to improve patient safety, medication management, and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Epic upgrade cycles, validation, and testing processes for pharmacy modules.
