Job description

Custodial Technician - Royal Oaks Hospital

Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports healing and wellness at Royal Oaks Hospital. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with one required weekend a month.

As a Custodial Technician, you'll play an important role in ensuring our hospital remains a comfortable, hygienic, and well-maintained space for clients, visitors, and staff. You'll handle daily cleaning tasks, assist with basic maintenance, support supply and inventory needs, and contribute to a positive environment that reflects our commitment to care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment throughout the facility
  • Conduct routine cleaning, disinfecting, restocking, and supply replenishment
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as floor care, minor repairs, and equipment upkeep
  • Support inventory tracking, restocking, and communication of supply needs
  • Follow safety procedures, especially when handling biohazard cleanup
  • Travel to additional locations as needed to provide custodial or maintenance support
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Education, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

High School/GED preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: At least two (2) years experience in institutional housekeeping or janitorial operations preferred
