What You'll Do:
Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirements.
Ensure meals are prepared and served on time while maintaining quality, taste, and proper food temperatures.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
Practice proper portion control and food presentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas.
Assist with receiving deliveries, inventory management, food storage, labeling, and stock rotation.
Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, assisted living, hospitality, or restaurant setting is required.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.
Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and dietary instructions.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Dependable, positive, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Must be reliable and committed to providing exceptional service to our residents.

Salary/ Wage Range
Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidateโs qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
