JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN INTAKE TECHNICIAN - DAYS!

Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?

The Intake Technician is responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling and/or referring inquiry calls. Assist the A&R Clinicians, Coordinators and Director with coordinating assessments, initiating Intake paperwork and insurance information. Work to ensure smooth transition into the admission process. Assist in monitoring to assure the safety of the patient.

  • Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment.
  • Process all requests for information and external referrals.
  • Completes pre-certifications as needed.
  • Assist in arranging for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager.
  • Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
  • Assist in obtaining needed records and information.
  • Assist in maintaining all statistics; provide support to the Outcome Study, and other data, as assigned.
  • Maintains good communication with the Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated.

Schedule Requirement:

  • Sunday - Thursday

  • Education & Licensure (if applicable): Bachelors' degree preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working in a hospital intake department or business office preferred.

Compensation:
