Job Title: RN Hospice Nurse – 7 On / 7 Off On-Call Rotation

Location: Twin Cities Metro Area – 21 County Region

Compensation: $54 - $78 per hour active hours, $510.00 - $12.00 per hour beeper fee

Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (Full-Time On-Call Role)

Superior Hospice, a new branch of Home Health Care, Inc., is redefining hospice care across Minnesota. We're seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as an on-call expert for our growing patient base. Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to after-hours calls for symptom management, crisis care, or family support
  • Provide in-home skilled nursing care, assessments, and interventions
  • Deliver emotional guidance to patients and caregivers during sensitive moments
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to adjust care plans as needed
  • Document all visits and phone calls accurately and timely in our EHR system
  • Educate families on comfort care and end-of-life expectations
  • Triage patient needs via phone and determine appropriate next steps

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Minnesota
  • Hospice, oncology, or palliative care experience required
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to remain calm in urgent situations
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and medical teams
  • Willingness to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
