Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor at Horizon Heal Therapy, you will:

• Engage with clients to assess their mental health needs and work collaboratively to establish and achieve individualized treatment goals.
• Provide prevention-oriented therapy that empowers clients to build resilience and employ coping strategies.
• Implement, monitor, and adapt treatment plans based on client progress and feedback, ensuring that therapeutic interventions are effective and relevant.
• Regularly collaborate with other treatment providers and community agencies to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes.
• Maintain timely and thorough documentation, including session notes, treatment updates, and administrative reports, to support continuity of care.
• Contribute actively in team meetings by sharing insights on client cases and participating in program development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse client population, including individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Clients may present with anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, relationship difficulties, and more. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• A valid and active license as an LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Prior experience—at least one year—in mental health counseling or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of community mental health resources and the ability to navigate them for the benefit of clients.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills that facilitate building rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

Candidates who possess additional certifications or specialization in areas such as trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, or group facilitation will be viewed favorably. A demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competencies in mental health care would enhance your application.
