WMH Solutions is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support material handling equipment at the Honda Manufacturing facility in Talladega, Alabama.
This is a dedicated-site technician role supporting heavy equipment and material handling units inside a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you have experience as a forklift technician, industrial maintenance technician, heavy equipment mechanic, diesel technician, automotive technician, plant maintenance technician, or equipment mechanic, this could be a strong next step in your career.
You'll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing forklifts and material handling equipment that help keep production, warehouse operations, and plant movement running smoothly.
This is not a basic repair role.

What You'll Be Working On
You will maintain, diagnose, and repair material handling and industrial equipment used within the Honda facility.

Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment

  • Perform safety inspections and operational checks

Documentation & Communication
  • Accurately document work performed, labor time, parts used, and repair details
  • Communicate equipment status and repair needs clearly
  • Coordinate with WMH leadership, customer contacts, and internal support teams as needed
  • Follow company procedures for service documentation, safety, and reporting

Safety & Professional Standards
  • Follow all WMH and customer safety requirements

  • Use proper PPE and follow all plant safety protocols
  • Represent WMH professionally while working at the customer site

Schedule & Work Expectations
This position is based at the Honda Manufacturing facility in Talladega, Alabama.

Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday
  • 2nd Shift
  • 4:00 PM-12:30 AM
  • $1.00 shift differential
Weekend work may be required based on Honda production needs. Weekend schedules are generally known in advance on a quarterly basis, allowing time to plan accordingly.
We're looking for a technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and keeping industrial equipment running.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a mechanic or technician
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with electrical and hydraulic diagnostics
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
  • Ability to read and follow service procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work 2nd shift
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments with noise, dust, heat, cold, humidity, and changing conditions
Preferred Experience
