Job description

Position: Direct Care Worker (DCW)
Location: Royal Oak, MI
Shifts Available: Mornings, Afternoons, Midnights, amp; Weekends
Job Type: Full-time amp; Part-time
Reports To: Home Manager
Position Summary: MORC, WCLS, amp;/or TTI training is required and can be provided.
  • Good pay amp; benefits!!
  • The position is responsible for providing a safe, secure, and healthy environment for resident while working towards goals in person-centered plans.
  • Addresses the basic health, rights, privileges, and safety for all residents.
  • Interacts closely with resident and provides direct care as needed.
  • Works with and assists each resident with their aim to achieve individual goals.
  • Transports resident to outings in the community, appointments, etc.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Sets positive examples for residents at all times.
  • Adheres to the person centered plans, and behavior plans as written for each resident.
  • Provides opportuniti

  • Provides quality of care and a safe and healthy setting free from harm while upholding the rights of all residents.
  • Protects all residents from abuse and/or neglect and immediately reports any occurrence to appropriate entities.
  • Maintains and protects the confidentiality of all residents.
  • Follows and upholds all house guidelines.
  • Cooks meals as necessary for residents based upon food specifications and diets.
  • Completes required documentation before the end of shift, including, but not limited to progress notes, miscellaneous notes, daily support logs, event reports, incident reports, LOA forms, resident inventories, etc.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of home site according to the assignment chart. (Inspection ready at all times.)
  • Administers medications as needed.
  • Hand off communication to next shift staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Adheres to Integrated Living's Core Values, Mission Statement, and Corporate Philosophies.
Education amp; Qualifications:
  • MORC, WCLS, amp;/or TTI training is required and can be provided.
