Home Health Caregiver (Part Time)

Astrocare Home Healthcare specializes in long term care for the disabled and elderly. Our goal is to help consumers or clients obtain the greatest independence possible within the community. We do this by working with each consumer to understand their unique needs, sharing our knowledge of the services available and respectfully providing all possible services.

Position Overview:

As a Caregiver, you'll provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being through personalized care and assistance with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene

  • Maintain client safety through regular wellness checks and environmental monitoring

  • Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration

  • Assist with medication reminders and compliance

  • Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment

  • Change dressings and assist with basic medical care as directed

  • Engage clients in social and recreational activities to support mental well-being

  • Document and report changes in client condition to healthcare team

  • Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Physical ability to assist clients with mobility

  • Dependable with excellent time management skills

Employment Details:

  • Position Type; Part-time position available

  • Compensation: Starting at $13.00 per hour

  • Hours: Flexible schedules, 20 Hours per week

  • Shifts: 5 hour shifts available

  • Reliable Transportation

  • Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 12 pm - 5 pm
