Warehouse 3rd Receiving Material Handler
Salary: $18.75 per hour based upon experience 
Sunday - Thursday 8:00PM - Completion
 
We're looking for bright, energetic individuals to join our Distribution Team. Advance your career with Havertys, the most established Furniture Retailer in the industry. SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Maintain professional and effective communication with drivers, managers, supervisors, and AP.
  • Complete and send daily reports to the Corporate Office, Supply Chain team, and AP department.
  • Maintain detailed truck records and prepare door assignment sheets.
  • Maintain a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards.
  • Responsible for manual material handling of furniture within the distribution facility.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Receiving Manager, which may include pulling and putting away furniture with the lift, and assisting with unloading trucks when needed.

Job Requierements

Qualifications: 

                        
This position requires professionalism and effective communication with drivers, managers, supervisors, and AP. Candidates must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint, and must be able to complete and send daily reports to the Corporate Office, Supply Chain team, and AP department. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintain detailed truck records, and prepare door assignment sheets. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required. Additional duties.

  • Good communication skills. 
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team Player.
  • Ability to pass Criminal Background check, Lifting Assessment, and Drug Test.
  • Must complete and understand all company-sponsored safety programs. 
    Must comply with Havertys safety requirements. 
  • Previous warehouse supervisor or lead experience a plus. 

Work Environment: 

Warehouse setting: must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable. 
Sunday - Thursday, 8:00pm to completion 
 

Physical Demands: 

Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position. 
You must have the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move furniture up to 150 pounds while loading and unloading trucks, properly handling materials, and merchandise.
