Description

The Warehouse Clerk will Support Warehouse/Shipping leadership by keeping good moving into and out of the warehouse. Coordinates workflow with team leads, drivers and other leaders within the organization to ensure goods are received, put-a-way, picked, loaded/shipped and billed timely using a variety of systems. 

Scope of Work 

  • Management of day-to-day shipping schedule 
  • Runs reports and provide status updates regularly to internal and external teams 
  • Check in truck drivers and route to specific loading lanes or to dropped trailers in the yard ready for collection 
  • Print product pick lists and shipping labels for warehouse team 
  • Completes administrative activities related to shipping function including but not limited to; creation of bills of lading, stock transfer orders, invoice/billing, scheduling or rescheduling deliveries, communications with retail partners, corporate team, or carriers regarding loads; ensuring all required forms and documents are on time, complete, and correct 
  • Assists with audits 
  • Research and troubleshoot errors or issues related to shipping as they arise, ensuring timely issue escalation 
  • Professional communication, written and verbal with internal team members, external business partners, drivers, and carrier traffic teams. 
  • Assist with product put-a-way in designated areas within the warehouse 
  • Pick product from the warehouse and either live load trucks or stage for future pick-ups using paper pick list 
  • Load product onto trucks in specific formations to maximize each truck load 
  • Apply stickers to boxes prior to loading – shipping label, other identifying markers 
  • Scan boxes prior to loading to confirm each truckload is correct 
  • Unload goods from trucks and put-a-way materials in designated areas within the warehouse 
  • Move hand carts of various sizes, empty and full 
  • Operate mobile equipment for picking or putting away finished goods and materials (training is provided) 
  • Participate in general workstation clean up daily – general housekeeping 
  • Participate in safety training and works in a safe manner to avoid injury to self or others 
  • Any other duties assigned
                • Skill requirements 
                • Ability to follow direction 
                • Must be solutions oriented and flexible in approach and professional in demeanor 
                • Ability to complete tasks as assigned 
                • Strong written and verbal communication 
                • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel) 
                • Ability to use digital customer portals in conjunction with other technical tools to ensure information accuracy 
                • Ability and desire to learn/use our ERP system – SAP 
                • Critical thinking and the ability to problem solve/troubleshoot challenges 
                • Comfortable wearing hearing protection and safety glasses 
                • Ability to read and write 
                • Use hand tools and simple machinery to aid in cushion creation or packing 
                • Ability to speak up when something does not seem correct or is confusing, work direction, product quality, safety, housekeeping, etc. 
                • Desire to get certified in use of mobile equipment: forklift, order picker, clamp truck, training is provided

                  • Periods of intense physical activity followed by periods of stationary office work
