Job description

Position Title: Group Exercise Instructor
Location: Chelsea Wellness Center
Class Format: Tai Chi
Summary:
We improve life and we're here to serve. What you do is something special and contributes towards improving health within your community. Join our team of full time and part time staff at Chelsea Wellness Center. Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers.
The Tai Chi Instructor is responsible for teaching Tai Chi classes in a professional and safe manner to the members and guests of the Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach Tai Chi classes as scheduled, providing a welcoming and safe environment for the group.
2. Demonstrate proper Tai Chi methods to use with participants in class.
3. Maintain industry certification in good standing and meet continuing education requirements.
4. Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively teach and interact with clients.
5. Contribute to the marketing efforts of the center and meditation classes both within the center and the community.
6. Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and responsibilities.
7. The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-High School diploma or GED required.
-Tai Chi Instructor training required.
-Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Tai Chi in a group setting.
-CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness)
-Nationally recognized NCCA accredited certification preferred.
-Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work
with members in a positive, service based manner.
-Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
-Proficient computer skills
