Location: Las Vegas, NV
Reports To: Franchise Owner / Fitness Program Manager

Classification: Independent Contractor (1099)
Position SummaryFitness Trainers are the heart of the Live 2 B Healthy program, delivering safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes for older adults in senior living communities. We are currently seeking a trainer certified and experienced in Tai Chi to lead Tai Chi classes. There is opportunity to lead our strength and balance, seated yoga, and aqua fitness classes.
Classes are held on-site at partner communities in the Las Vegas area, primarily on weekdays, and include assisted living, independent living, and memory care residents. This role requires a passion for helping seniors stay active, with a strong commitment to program quality, safety, and participant progress.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead Group Fitness and Tai Chi Classes: Conduct scheduled on-site classes tailored to the needs and abilities of older adults, focusing on functional movement, balance, and strength. Tai Chi classes are delivered in both standing and seated formats depending on the group.
Private & Small Group Training: Deliver personalized one-on-one and small group sessions with residents based on their individual goals and abilities, following approved programming and documentation protocols.
Serve Memory Care Residents: Lead shorter, simplified class formats for residents living with dementia or Alzheimer's, using repetitive, accessible movement patterns and adapting in the moment to each group's engagement level.
Ensure Safety & Inclusivity: Monitor participants closely to ensure exercises are performed safely and effectively. Modify activities as needed to support all fitness levels, including residents who participate from a wheelchair.
Build Positive Relationships: Create a motivating, respectful, and inclusive environment. Establish trust and rapport with residents, staff, and community decision-makers.
Follow Program Guidelines: Adhere to all Live 2 B Healthy protocols and curriculum standards for all formats of training (group, small group, and private).
Communication & Reporting: Accurately report attendance, session feedback, and client notes to the Fitness Program Manager. Communicate class concerns or scheduling issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications• Tai Chi certification and demonstrated teaching experience, with the ability to adapt forms for older adults and seated participants
• Experience in senior fitness, personal training, group fitness, or rehab-based exercise
• Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent)
• Current CPR/AED certification (required)
• Current general and professional liability insurance carried in the trainer's own name (required prior to the first scheduled class)
• Availability for weekday classes
• Strong interpersonal skills and an encouraging, client-centered approach
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled sessions
Preferred• Previous experience with private clients or small group training
• Background in working with seniors or within senior living communities
• Experience leading classes for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's
• Understanding of age-related conditions and how to safely modify exercises
CompensationHourly pay based on experience and certifications. Additional compensation for private and small group sessions. Mileage and travel time may be reimbursed as applicable.
