Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cost Controls Specialist/Cost Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA.
Your role
  • Track and analyze project costs, including approved budgets, commitments, actual expenditures, accruals, and forecasts.
  • Prepare and manage monthly accruals, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and forecasted in coordination with project teams and vendors.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and variance explanations, highlighting key cost drivers, trends, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate monthly forecasting reviews with project managers and discipline leads to validate remaining work, commitments, and forecast assumptions.
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders; monitor commitments and validate contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and processing of change orders and funding requests.
  • Support capital project closeout activities, including final cost reporting, reconciliation of commitments, and placement of assets into service.
  • Assist with the annual capital budgeting process.

About you
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of experience project controls/cost management.
  • Experience in Energy sector projects preferred.
  • Intermediate - advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Expected compensation range is between $120,000 - $140,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
