Job description

The Enterprise Data Analyst is responsible for both designing and developing our data architecture and performing data analysis to support business decision-making. This role encompasses the end-to-end process of data collection, transformation, storage, and analysis. The Enterprise Data Analyst will work with departments across the organization to provide data solutions to our internal teams, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and actionable, driving insights and strategic initiatives throughout the organization. They will also assist in deploying special projects for the other departments as requested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data reporting and dashboards.
  • Organize, model, and store raw data in our data warehouse and data lake.
  • Analyze and interpret data using statistical methods and tools.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and quality of data by developing and implementing processes for data cleaning, transformation, and validation.
  • Ability to learn internal software and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing projects and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to interact with varying organizational levels confidently.
  • Ability to communicate technical information coherently to a variety of stakeholders.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including 6+ years of experience in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
  • Experience with enterprise software or the transportation and logistics industry is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, or Scala) required.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) required.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms such as Delta Lake, Spark, and Databricks required.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of schema design, data modeling, and data analysis is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications in Azure, Power BI, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering include, but are not limited to:
    • Azure Data Engineer Associate
    • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300)
    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
    • DataCamp Data Engineer Certification
