Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 5–8) – Job Description

Position Summary
The Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 5–8) is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction that helps students build strong problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical skills. The teacher supports students in developing mathematical understanding through interactive lessons, real-world applications, and differentiated instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement effective math lessons aligned with state and district standards for grades 5–8.

  • Teach core math concepts such as arithmetic, fractions, decimals, ratios, pre-algebra, algebraic thinking, and basic geometry.

  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to help students understand mathematical concepts and develop problem-solving skills.
