deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a software developer in Dayton, OH.

Position Description: deciBel Research is a seeking a Software Developer with versatile technical skills in computer science and computer engineering who will employ information system architecture, management, and automation techniques.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Architect / rearchitect an information system that enables distributed systems and software engineering based on new and evolving requirements.
  • Writing/updating existing scripts, writing custom code with web-based API and cloud formation scripts.
  • Interface with information technology and cybersecurity staff to understand cyber requirements and ensure that the information system continues to meet corporate standards when baseline changes are required.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of programming experience.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem tools (Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Argo CD), OpenSearch, Docker desired.

Special Skills Desired:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based processing concepts and platforms - such as Amazon Web Services.
