Job description

We are seeking a talented Senior Designer to support the design and development of textiles and home dรฉcor products. This role requires a strong eye for pattern and color as well as CAD design expertise, and knowledge of the product development process from concept through production. We are looking for a creative self starter with a good attitude and can easily work with others. This is a growing division with a lot of room for creativity and growth. The role is based out of our NYC office and offers hybrid schedule (3 days a week). The hybrid schedule is non negotiable.


Duties

  • Create print, pattern, and creative designs for home textiles that are trend-forward.
  • Develop seasonal trend direction, color palettes, and print concepts for home textile and dรฉcor collections.
  • Produce quality tech packs and production-ready artwork in a timely manner based on direction given
  • Manage and coordinate samples
  • Communicate with overseas factories and vendors to clarify specifications, resolve technical questions, and support the development process.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Work on initial costing and pricing with knowledge on how to adjust designs as needed to fit current targets


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Ability to create a high volume of trend-driven, market-ready print designs while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
  • Skills using Photoshop and Illustrator are required
  • Understanding of home products as well as the product development process
  • A degree in graphic design, textile design or similar field
  • Experience with hard goods products/ industrial design experience is a plus
  • 2-7 years experience in design
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with guidance from management
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of MS office suite
