Certified Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist) Miami, FL

Join a dynamic and growing rehabilitation team in Miami, FL as a Certified Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist). This is a full-time opportunity to provide specialized, patient-centered care for individuals recovering from hand and upper extremity injuries. This role offers autonomy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional growth within a supportive clinical environment.

Full-Time | Days (Rotating Weekends) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8s | Rotating Weekends Pay Range: $32.62 to $48.93/hr + $3.00/hr Shift Differential Sign-On Bonus: Case-by-case basis

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and administer individualized occupational therapy treatment programs.
  • Deliver advanced hand therapy techniques to restore functional movement and independence.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other care professionals to optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and recovery strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and infection control programs.
  • Contribute to departmental performance, growth, and program development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Masters preferred).
  • Active Florida Occupational Therapy License.
  • Minimum 12 years of hand therapy experience.
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credentials or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based hand therapy and splinting techniques.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
