Job description

Fire Service Technician-

Regular, Full Time

Albany, NY

Training Provided

DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the Fire, EMS and Industrial Safety Equipment distribution business, is looking for a highly self-motivated individual to service fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and eye wash stations, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and professionalism within our New York State Fire Service Division.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety training and direction must be adhered to at all times, reporting any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
  • Perform required services on fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and emergency eye wash stations according to NFPA 10 standards and safety requirements established with customers.
  • Adhere to a daily schedule set by the scheduling department and management, working as part of a team.
  • Promptly arrive at facilities prepared to perform the services as scheduled.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary daily paperwork in a timely manner as required.
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate any issues/problems with management.
  • Complete vehicle cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
  • Perform additional duties that may arise and assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements:

  • No prior service experience necessary, training is provided.
  • Strong self-motivation, with solid confidence level.
  • Excellent communication skills, representing DiVal Safety in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Available to travel on a daily basis including overnights as deemed necessary based on workload scheduling.
  • High school degree or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable vehicle record.
  • Ability to pass a D.O.T. drug screen and physical.
