We're hiring!
We are seeking a Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Inspector to join our Quality team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for sampling, inspecting, and releasing incoming packaging components and labels, ensuring that all activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies. This position plays a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards and supporting the integrity of our production process.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform thorough inspections and systematic sampling based on approved sampling plans of all incoming packaging components (containers, caps, pumps, shippers, etc.) and labels to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Review and verify all applicable documentation received from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Inspect incoming components and labels for physical damage, contamination, correct labeling, etc. and adherence to established SOPs.
  • Perform required testing and verify the results against approved specifications and Apollo standards.
  • Record inspections and testing results in a timely manner by following approved procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Release packaging components and labels as per approved procedures.
  • Initiate non-conformance reports for any discrepancies or quality issues found during inspection and diligently follow up on corrective actions until resolution.
  • Complete and archive documents in accordance with company policy and standards.
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on sampling/inspection activities, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions for audit and review purposes.
  • Generate material status reports such as Released, On-Hold, Rejected, as required.
  • Operate & maintain laboratory instruments used to perform testing.
  • Ensure required standards and specifications are maintained.
  • Maintain inventory of approved reference/retain samples.
  • Ensure all required laboratory supplies are maintained.
  • Execute approved Test protocols & Technical Procedures, as required.
  • Ensure prioritization of sampling and inspection to meet production demands.
  • Interact with internal & external customers in a professional manner, including resolution of non-conformance events.
  • Prepare technical reports, if required.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures for GMP, GDP and Health and Safety, as outlined in the Health and Safety manual.
  • Identify and report any hazard(s), accidents, and injuries requiring first aid, health care, lost-time injuries, occupational diseases or incidents in the workplace.
  • Provides guidance/training to new employees, as required.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a GMP-regulated environment, with hands-on experience performing IQC inspections
  • Post-secondary education preferred (college diploma or university degree)
  • Experience working with computerized systems or experience with ERP or WMS software (e.g., Syspro, SAP) is an asset
