We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Histology Supervisor to oversee our histology laboratory operations. The Histology Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of histotechnologists and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of tissue samples for diagnostic purposes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the histology laboratory, including specimen processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and coverslipping
  • Ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, etc.)
  • Monitoring quality control and quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of accuracy and precision in histology testing
  • Training and mentoring histotechnologists and other laboratory staff
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Collaborating with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information
  • Managing inventory and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels for uninterrupted laboratory operations
  • Participating in departmental meetings, performance improvement initiatives, and strategic planning activities

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field
