Location: Toms River, NJ (Alberta Group Home)
Shift: Per-Diem


Pay Information
  • Base Rate: $19.50/hour

  • Weekend Rate: $20.50/hour

Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services, is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as SUB Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Toms River group home, supporting adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals provide hands-on care, guidance, and mentorship to residents while helping them build independence and life skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene)

  • Support health and wellness, including personal medical care

  • Encourage community participation (shopping, recreation, outings)

  • Promote social and emotional development (communication, friendships, coping skills)

  • Support budgeting, money management, and other life skills

  • Foster independence, dignity, and autonomy for residents


Qualifications
  • 20 years or older

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to successfully complete:

    • State and Federal criminal background checks

    • Drug screening

    • Pre-employment physical and PPD

  • Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training
