As ourHIM Associate, you will help support accurate management, imaging, and accessibility of patient health information. Every day you willretrieve charts from patient care areas, reconcile records and follow up on missing documentation, and prep, scan, index, and validate medical records and other clinical documentation. To thrive in this role, you must beorganized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with technology, professional, and able to handle confidential information with discretion in a fast-paced environment.

Here's what you will experience working as anHIM Associate:

  • Retrieve charts from patient care areas and support document reconciliation

  • Prep, scan, index, and quality-check medical records and clinical documentation

  • Resolve missing or incomplete documentation and maintain record accuracy

  • Generate patient lists and assist with calls or walk-in inquiries

  • Follow HIPAA, privacy, and retention guidelines to protect patient information

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds

  • High degree of professionalism

  • Discretion in handling highly confidential protected health information
