Job description

We are looking for a HIL Test Engineer to support automotive ECU testing and validation. The engineer will work with HIL test benches, develop and execute test cases, troubleshoot issues, and support software and system validation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HIL test cases for automotive ECUs.
  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Configure and troubleshoot HIL test benches.
  • Work with dSPACE HIL, ControlDesk, CANoe, and CANalyzer.
  • Analyze CAN/CAN-FD/LIN communication and test results.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB.
  • Troubleshoot ECU, hardware, software, and communication issues.
  • Document test results and report defects.
  • Work with software, controls, calibration, and systems engineering teams.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in HIL testing or automotive validation.
  • Hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL.
  • Experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.
  • Knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, and LIN protocols.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of Python or CAPL for test automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
