Our maintenance operations are comprised of professional engineers, certified quality control inspectors, and experienced maintenance technicians with proficiency developing and executing highway infrastructure maintenance contracts throughout the United States. Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc., is currently seeking a full-time, working Field Supervisor to work alongside Highway Maintenance Technicians. They will perform maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area. This position requires oversite of performance a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, attenuator repair/install, sign repair/install, guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring safety, productivity, and compliance.
Technicians will report to project yard located in Houston, TX.
Required Experience:
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisor/Field lead in highway maintenance
  • Roadway/toll lane maintenance experience
  • Industry knowledge of highway maintenance and/or the construction transportation field
  • Wheel Loader, Skid steer, Forklift, Mini excavator, etc. operator

Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years of roadway maintenance experience
  • MOT Certifications (Traffic control)
  • CDL License a plus

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:

  • Minimum associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in the field as a Supervisor/Lead worker.
  • Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
  • Carry out simple arithmetic functions
  • Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
  • Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
  • Ability to use smart phone and applications
  • Ability to adjust to changing work schedule and answer emergency call outs
  • Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools
  • Ability to read and understand detail sheets/project plans

Schedule:
Full time; typical schedule is Monday-Sunday, 7:30AM-4:00PM or Monday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Must be flexible and work varying schedules.
Salary: Depends on licenses, certifications & experience.
