Job description

Phlebotomist Laboratory

Location: Eureka, CA 95501
Specialty: Phlebotomist
Shift: Night Shift – 4×10-hour shifts
Schedule: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $43/hour.


Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures accurately and safely.
  • Identify patients and verify orders prior to specimen collection.
  • Properly label, handle, transport, and process collected specimens.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory protocols.
  • Provide professional and compassionate patient care during specimen collection.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Float between like units as required.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the Phlebotomist role as assigned.


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience required.
  • CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certification must be in hand at the time of submission.
  • First-time travelers are not accepted.
  • Pending licenses/certifications are not accepted.
  • Strong venipuncture and specimen-collection skills required.
  • Acute care hospital experience preferred.
