As a Sagamore, you will serve as an advisor or secondary chief within a Native American tribe, often working closely with the principal chief and tribal council. What are Sagamores?

A Sagamore is a term historically used to describe a chief or leader among some Indigenous peoples of the Northeastern United States, particularly within the Algonquian-speaking tribes. The title was often used interchangeably with 'sachem,' though sometimes with distinctions in rank or region. In modern contexts, 'Sagamore' can also refer to honorary titles or awards, such as the 'Sagamore of the Wabash' in Indiana, which is given to distinguished citizens. The meaning and usage of the term can vary depending on context and location.
