Position Overview
The Utility / Dishwasher position is essential to maintaining a clean and organized back-of-house environment in a setting. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, from dishwashing to assisting with deliveries and kitchen organization. There are opportunities to learn culinary skills and advance your career. We are a supportive team that values respect and collaboration. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students and educators and prioritizes superior customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines.
  • Wash specific items by hand (e.g., cutting boards, large pots and pans).
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
  • Assist with putting away deliveries and maintaining an organized back-of-house.
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
  • Monitor dishwashing machine operations and report any technical or performance issues promptly.
  • Regularly remove garbage and sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.

  • Previous work experience as a Dishwasher.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and assist with various tasks as needed.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to sanitation rules.
  • Availability to work in shifts.
  • High school diploma is a plus.
